Calling all writers! Some writers can just sit down and write. I’m certainly not one of them. I’m also not one of those writers that can write every single day. I’ll read an entire book talking about the writing process and still not be inspired to sit down and “just write.” Something that helps me a lot, other than drinking and music, are writing activities. They spark creativity in me and allow me to just write!
I know this is a blog talking a ton about memoirs, but the majority of the writing activities I do consist of writing fictional pieces. They’re my just-for-fun writing. Every week I’ll be sharing writing activities that I have yet to try or have already tried and loved. They will be no pressure activities and are meant to have fun with; alcohol and a writing buddy suggested. They will be prompts but can be altered to fit your needs. If you try them out and make any changes to the activities, I’d love to hear about it. I’d also love to hear your ideas and with your permission, to post them on the blog! Let me know what you find. 🙂
