This week’s Writing Activity is simple and inspired by something that I’ve been doing lately. I’ve been so busy with multiple jobs and trying to balance everything else in life, blah blah, being an adult, blah blah blah… My Fiancé and I have been trying to create a habit of getting up early and practicing a morning routine. We set our alarms for 4:30 am, do yoga, meditate, and do something for ourselves, like read, write, or be creative.
I’ve learned that the early morning is my favorite time of day to write. It’s a clean slate kind of feeling. I sometimes have to quiet the mind from anxieties about all of the other things I have to get done during the day, but with my music to write to playlist and a cup of coffee, writing becomes therapeutic. So, I challenge you to set an alarm, I mean you don’t have to do as early as 4:30 am, but I encourage you to make it earlier than what you’re used to and write! Grab your coffee or tea, do yoga or a quick stretch, get set up in a good space with your medium of choice, and just write.

Describe your dream from that night.
Describe what you did the day before, from the time you woke to the time you went to sleep.
Write about what you want your day to look like. Make it fun, make it fictional.
